Blue Hour Charlotte Airport

In photography the brief period after sunset is called blue hour. On clear evenings, the indirect sunlight tints the sky predominately blue with lovely hues of red, yellow and orange. When you experience the blue hour, you will realize how magical these moments can be.

While I waited at the airport in Charlotte for a plane coming in late, I witnessed this incredible blue almost purple sky. The last rays of light dipped Uptown Charlotte in the background and the busy tarmac with all its arriving and departing planes into beautiful hues of magenta.
