Female Ruby-Throated Hummingbird

We love hummingbirds. Every spring they visit us and stay for the summer. They feed on the flowers in our garden and nurture their offsprings to adulthood. Then in early fall, when the flowers start to disappear, they migrate to warmer climates traveling more than 2,000 miles south - what an amazing journey for these tiny birds.
